MECHANISM OF ACTION

CalGo presents an innovative formula that contains natural marine undenatured Collagen type II and a pure source of microcrystalline hydroxyapatite calcium from the bones of Norwegian salmon.

Calcium in the form of Microcrystalline hydroxyapatite (MCHA) is 100% identical to the Calcium molecule naturally found in human bones. Compared to other forms of calcium, MCHA provides better absorption, bioavailability and bioavailability of calcium in the body.

CalGo® formula is also rich in phosphorus and zinc, which along with chelated amino acids from Collagen support cartilage function, joint health and bone strength.

Frankincense, Sacred wood or Indian frankincense (Boswellia serrata) is a woody plant originating from India, where its aromatic resin is collected throughout the year. Its use has been known for at least 5,000 years, and it has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years. Frankincense bark extract and oil are traditionally used in Indian medicine in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, joint pain, asthma, chronic bronchitis, painful menstruation, poor circulation… The main active components of frankincense extract are Boswellic acids, which have anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.

Ginger is a perennial plant of tropical and subtropical regions, and its dried rhizome is used. The rhizome contains up to 3% of essential oil, and the base of the essential oil is represented by sesquiterpene derivatives (Zingiberene + zingiberol, Curcumen). Certain studies have shown the antithrombotic and antioxidant effect of ginger, as well as the stimulating effect on the secretion of saliva and digestive juices. It is used as a spice and medicinal plant. In traditional Chinese medicine, it is used in the treatment of headaches, nausea, rheumatism and colds.

Hyaluronic acid is the main component of the synovial fluid found in the joints. It is indispensable for lubricating articular cartilage. As the organism ages, the production of Hyaluronic acid gradually decreases, which leads to a decrease in viscosity and an increasing dilution of the synovial fluid. Because of this, the joints become painful and difficult to move. It is similar to osteoarthritis, when cartilage and other joint structures begin to deteriorate, and the inflammatory process in the joints leads to reduced production of Hyaluronic acid, which results in reduced lubrication of the joints. For this reason, in medicine, Hyaluronic acid and its derivatives are used in conditions caused by reduce of the synovial fluid, such as arthritis and osteoarthritis.

Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) belongs to the group of liposoluble vitamins with significant fisiological effects. The regulation of its metabolism is complex and involves calcium, phosphate and hormones, the most important of which is PTH (parathyroid hormone). The two most important mechanisms by which vitamin D maintains normal calcium and phosphate concentrations are facilitating the resorption of calcium and phosphate from the intestine and accelerating their mobilization from bone. In the absence of vitamin D, the resorption of calcium and phosphate from the digestive tract is significantly reduced. As a result, a larger amount of PTH is secreted, which mobilizes calcium from the bones. This leads to bone demineralization, which can be manifested by rickets in children, or osteomalacia and osteoporosis in adults.

The role of vitamin D is to prevent demineralization and has a preventive effect on these processes. In addition to the effects on bone health, vitamin D shows a beneficial effect in autoimmune, malignant, cardiovascular and other diseases in which vitamin D replacement is necessary.

Vitamin K2 (Menaquinone) belongs to the group of liposoluble vitamins, and as such is primarily found in leafy green vegetables and has proven biological effects. In nature, it exists in plants as Phyto menadione (K1) and as Menaquinone (K2), which are synthesized by bacteria in the intestines. Relatively recent studies have shown that Vitamin K2 (menaquinone) participates in the modulation of osteocalcin and the maintenance of bone health, and can be considered useful in the prevention of osteoporosis. In addition to its effects on bone health, Vitamin K2 has a beneficial effect on cardiovascular, malignant and other diseases, especially in combination with Vitamin D3.

Copper is an essential microelement that is included in the composition of a large number of enzymes and proteins, within which it plays a role in cellular respiration, melanin synthesis, connective tissue formation, and protection of cells from the effects of free radicals. It is also important for the formation of Collagen, maturation of Erythrocytes and Leukocytes, Glucose and Cholesterol metabolism, Immune functions, bone health. Copper also contributes to normal transport of iron through the body, normal functioning of the nervous system and normal pigmentation of hair and skin.

Manganese is essential for bone development and normal functioning of the Nervous system, as well as for reproductive processes. Along with Vitamin K, it participates in the process of blood coagulation, while with Chromium it is necessary for the synthesis of Insulin and the normal utilization of Glucose in the body. Lack of Manganese in the diet leads to hearing loss, vertigo and ataxia.
